Included are Mason Noble's centennial discourse, a record of psalms learned by Laura Seymour, a piece of the church bell recovered from the 1866 fire, and a manual from the Church of Christ in the White Oaks led by Albert Hopkins.

The First Congregational Church of Williamstown, Mass., was organized in 1765 when Whitman Welch was called to preach in that town. Meetings were conducted first in a log school house and then, in 1768, in the first log meeting house. After two meeting houses burned, in 1798 and 1866, a new building was constructed in 1869.
